Sahar Mohammadzadeh is a junior at Paul Laurence Dunbar HS who has been with the Prichard Committee Student Voice Team since the 8th grade. Sahar worked extensively on the SVT’s 2015 College Tripwires investigation into the inequities facing Kentucky students transitioning from high school to college. As the current chair of the SVT’s Postsecondary Transition Committee, she has been spearheading the team's followup investigation into how high school and college students define college readiness, including and beyond academics. The work has involved collecting quantitative and qualitative data from hundreds of young people across the state. Sahar also led the SVT's nationally-award-winning partnership with the Council for Postsecondary Education and GEAR UP Kentucky, writing and directing a series of radio and television public service announcements on the FAFSA that resulted in a statewide $3 million campaign.
